LA MOLINA, Spain (March 21) - Olympian Tyler Jewell (Steamboat Springs, CO) finished out the 2010 season one step away from the podium, racing to fourth in the parallel giant slalom during World Cup finals in Spain Sunday.

Sunday's men's race was won by none other than Olympic champion Jasey Jay Anderson of Canada. Fellow Canadian Matthew Morison was second and Austrian Andreas Prommegger was third.

The finish marked Jewell's highest result for the 2010 season. His last podium performance came during the 2008 season during a PGS World Cup in Lake Placid, NY.

Jewell was followed for the U.S. by Vic Wild (White Salmon, WA) in eighth, Chris Klug (Aspen, CO) in 28th and Justin Reiter (Steamboat Springs, CO) was 32nd.

In the women's race, Ekaterina Tudegesheva of Russia won, followed in second and third by Austrians Doris Guenther and Ina Meschik.

Lindsay Lloyd (Centerville, UT) was the sole U.S. representative in the women's field, finishing 37th.

The race marked the season's final snowboarding World Cup. The U.S. athletes now return to the states to train for the summer and prepare for the 2011 season.
