Leahy, Hernandez Close Rev Tour with SBX Win

MT. HOOD, OR (March 18) – Kevin Leahy (Brighton, MA) and Jacqueline Hernandez (Londonderry, VT) won the final Revolution Tour snowboardcross of the season on Thursday. The sunny day closed the 2010 Rev Tour season.
Leahy crossed the line first beating out Canada’s Jake Holden. Ross Andrews (Aspen, CO) raced to the third step on the podium.
“It was real close in the start going off the first step down,” explained Leahy. “After the second turn I had the hole shot.”
Hernandez waited until the last turn to make her move on Carrie Uren (Randle, WA), crossing the finish line in front. Jenna Feldman (Linwood, NJ) followed Uren in third.
“I was third out of the start and around the first turn I managed to get into second,” said Hernandez. I was second the whole way down and around the last corner I made the pass to first.”
The 2010 Revolution Tour concluded with Thursday’s snowboardcross race at Mt. Hood.
