Fuel TV To Webcast Grand Prix Today

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 23) - FUEL TV, the only network dedicated to the lifestyle of action sports, will host a live HD webcast for the 2010 Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix finals Jan. 23. The webcast will run from 6:30-9:00p.m. MT on FUEL TV's www.fuel.tv/ussnowboarding. FUEL TV will feature both men's and women's halfpipe finals, awards and the crowning of the Sprint Grand Prix Champions. The webcast will also be available on MySpace at www.myspace.com/actionsports.

This is the fifth and final contest of the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix. The U.S. Olympic Halfpipe Team of up to four men and four women will be selected from results of the Grand Prix. Top pros Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA), Louie Vito (Sandy, UT), JJ Thomas (Golden, CO), Danny Kass (Portland), Gretchen Bleiler (Breckenridge, CO), Kelly Clark (Mt. Snow, VT) and Hannah Teter (Belmont, VT) will be among the athletes fighting for their shot to represent the U.S. in Vancouver.

"This final stop will be so exciting because it will be the last chance for snowboarders to make the 2010 Olympic team," says Gene Pao, FUEL TV Vice President of New Media and International Development. "We couldn't be more excited to be offering the live webcast for this event to our audience. Last year, we produced a number of HD webcasts and are excited to continue bringing live content to our audience."

The webcast will be hosted by pro snowboarder and FUEL TV "Dew Underground" host Keir Dillon and pro snowboarder Rob Kingwill.

FUEL TV continues to provide entertaining and exciting content to the action sports community through various media formats, and it's recently produced several HD quality webcasts, including the 2009 Billabong Pipeline Masters, 2009 Rip Curl Pro Search Portugal, 2009 Vans Downtown Showdown, the 2009 Maloof Money Cup, the 2009 Vans Pro-tec Pool Party, and the 2009 Tampa Pro and Tampa Am.

FUEL TV is also offering selected full-length episodes of its programming in HD Streaming on its web site. Viewers can watch HD versions of shows such as "The Adventures of Danny & The Dingo," "Tracking Eero," "The Standard Snowboard Show" and "Firsthand" using The same HD player as is used for the 2010 Snowboarding Grand Prix webcast.

Highlights of the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix will also be featured on FUEL TV's "The Weekly Update" news show.
