| Baker, Hollingsworth Win Killington Revolution Tour
KILLINGTON, Vt. (Jan. 28) – In the second superpipe competition of the Chevrolet Revolution Tour Saturday, snowboarders Ross Baker (Reno, NV) and Ellery Hollingsworth (Darien, CT) took victories in a slushy Killington pipe. It was the second-straight win for Stratton Mountain’s Hollingsworth as she was victorious at Spirit Mountain in Minnesota in mid-January. She’ll be leaving Monday for Korea to compete in the FIS Snowboard Junior World Championships. Second place finisher Hayley Simpson (Bondville, VT) will be joining Hollingsworth in Korea. It was Baker’s first victory on the tour. Warm, sunny conditions made for a slow pipe, especially in the flats. Temperatures were in the 40s, making it feel more like a mid-April event. Friday’s snowboardcross event was canceled due to recent rain and warm weather. The Killington Revolution action concludes Sunday with slopestyle.
