NENDAZ, Switzerland (Jan. 22) – All three alpine snowboarders that will represent the United States at the Olympics competed in a World Cup parallel slalom Sunday. Rosey Fletcher (Girdwood, AK), heading to her third Olympics, was the top U.S. finisher in 10th. Michelle Gorgone (Sudbury, MA), who will be making her first Olympic appearance in February, placed 23rd.

Poland’s Jagna Marczulajtis won the women’s race over Swiss rider Daniela Meuli and Swede Sara Fischer.

Six American men raced and Justin Reiter (Steamboat Springs, CO) had the best finish in 19th. Tyler Jewell (Sudbury, MA), getting ready for his first Games, placed 23rd.

Simon Schoch of Switzerland won and was followed by teammate Roland Haldi and France’s Nicolas Huet.
